“Colin Firth turns in a performance of immense emotional complexity.” The Guardian.
Eric Lomax is living in Berwick-upon-Tweed, still troubled by the emotional scars he got working on the Thai-Burma Railway as a captured British officer in the Second World War. He cannot forget Takashi Nagase, the Japanese officer who had him tortured for building a radio.
To cope with the present, Lomax has to go back to the past “to let go of a lifetime of bitterness and hate”.
Doors open 30 min. before screenings for Front Row and Sunday cinema.
Ricks Café is open for tea, coffee and refreshments on Sundays for 30 min. prior to screenings.
